Mobile People Powered Logistics Showcases AI-Driven Growth to Former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak

Mobile People Powered Logistics recently welcomed former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, alongside senior Goldman Sachs leaders Asahi Pompey and Charlotte Keenan, to its Birmingham operation as part of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK ‘AI for Growth’ initiative.

The visit formed part of a wider programme exploring how UK SMEs can adopt artificial intelligence to enhance productivity and unlock growth.

During the session, Mobile People Powered Logistics demonstrated how it has embedded AI across its operations. The focus was not on theoretical capability, but on practical application—using technology to drive measurable improvements in efficiency, decision-making, and scalability.

A key part of the visit was led by Karl Roberts, who has played a central role in developing and implementing the company’s technology strategy. Presenting directly to Rishi Sunak, Karl outlined how AI is being used within the business to automate processes, improve operational performance, and create capacity for growth without increasing overhead.

This approach reflects a broader shift within the logistics sector, where businesses are increasingly leveraging technology not just to reduce cost, but to build long-term competitive advantage.

The visit reinforced a clear message: AI is no longer the preserve of large technology firms. For SMEs that adopt it with focus and discipline, it represents a significant opportunity to scale efficiently and sustainably.

Mobile People Powered Logistics continues to invest in technology, people, and processes to remain at the forefront of innovation within the UK logistics sector.
